1994 – 1996 Research assignment on "The standards of the International Labour Office and their impact on national labor and employment policies", and in this context in 1995 an internship at the Migration for Employment Branch – Department of Labour Migration – at the International Labour Organization (ILO) of the United Nations in Geneva

1993 – 1994 Postgraduate Research Study at the Centre for Caribbean Studies at the University of Warwick, UK. MA degree in Caribbean Studies with Prof. Robin Cohen, then director of the Sociology Department, University of Warwick.
